LG G3 Review – The QHD Frenzy begins
Ehehe, what do we have here? Is it the newest flagship launched in 2014? Is it a real contender for Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 and Sony Xperia Z2? Yes, my dears, the folks at LG didn’t rush and chose to launch their top of the line later, so that they could offer a mature product, stable and last but not least, out of the ordinary. LG G3 is the name of the latest LG wonder and it is one of the most beautiful and powerful smartphones launched this year.
Careful though…. this time we aren’t talking about a smartphone that tries to impose itself with a great quality/price ratio, but a truly high-end product, fully fledged, that makes no compromises and targets the price range dominated by the rivals from Samsung and HTC. And were not talking about a slightly strange smartphone such as LG G Flex, but a top of the line that is prepared to face any comparisons, including those regarding aesthetics.
Strengths? Remarkable design, that doesn’t sacrifice functionality (back cover is detachable), QHD display (2560×1440), 13MP camera with a new technology for AF, 2160p filming and 3000 mAh battery. I think we’ve said enough to make you curious, didn’t we? Well, you have strong reasons to be curious. LG are one of the first manufacturers that joined the Android ecosystem, but until last year they had problems in finding their own way and competing with Samsung and HTC.
Of course, they had a range of successful models (LG O4X HD, Nexus 4, Nexus 5 etc) but until LG G2 we couldn’t speak of a worthy rival against Samsung or HTC. Along with the launch of G2, and as well of the excellent LG G Flex, things have changed and LG showed us that they could create something else other than best-buys. And LG G3 is here to confirm this. The high-end market just got itself bigger with a serious and interesting competitor. Now let’s see what goodies LG put under the hood.
