Computex 2014 – Minfort min16 & min16plus speakers
As you can assume there ware a lot of asian manufacturers that we never heard before present at Computex 2014 show. We will not make a report on each of them, but there are some with very interesting products that worth making them popular to the european people.
Minfort is a taiwanese company focused on developing high-end PC speakers, handmade in Taiwan with local but also imported components (Australia, Japan, Netherlands or England). This year, the star of their booth at Computex is the Minfort min16 wireless Hi-Fi active 2-way speaker system. The base version has a nominal power of 2x50W, while the plus version blasts your ears with 2x80W, both of them being powered by a ST Microelectronics Class AB amplifier.
The high quality 18mm MDF or 15mm wood construction can offer 9 possible colors; the tweeter is made with Japanese silk while the 4″ woofer is made by an unnamed taiwanese company with over 30 years experience in speaker design and manufacturing. You can connect the speakers to your computer or additional devices via Bluetooth (CSR8640 chip) or RCA in, but you have also a RCA out for connecting a powered subwoofer (if you have one). You have also a FM radio receiver built-in as well as a 2A charger for your smartphone or tablet. This is not your ordinary cheap speaker system, this is a high-quality wireless Hi-Fi system so the $459 seems high but justified.
