Computex 2014 – ECS shows LIVA mini PC and new L337 series motherboards
As always, ECS had a nice colored stand at Computex 2014, and they showed a few interesting new additions to their line-up. First of all, I am pleased to announce that ECS finally gave up the golden colored scheme they used for previous gaming motherboards. Now, their L337 series motherboards have a dark, elegant look. The three models are Z97-Machine (the flagship of the L337 series), Z97I-Drone ( a mini ITX Z97 motherboard built for gamers that appreciate mini PC’s) and H97I-Drone (an affordable mini ITX motherboard).
Besides the new L337 motherboards, MSI also showcased one of the smallest mini PC’s I have seen so far, the ECS LIVA mini PC. Based on an Intel Baytail-M SoC, ECS Liva comes with 2GB DDR3, 32GB flash storage, M2 expansion port and HDMI and VGA outputs. ECS also had a contest for the best idea regarding the design of the LIVA mini PC and I can say that I saw some very interesting concepts showcased in their stand. I for one I am very curious how such a small system performs and I am looking forward to test it.
