Computex 2014 – Antec shows P380 case & EDGE Series PSU
Antec is a very well known and respected brand, mostly for their high-end PSU and cases, so they couldn’t miss the biggest IT&C fair here at Computex 2014. For this special occasion they prepared a new line of power supplies bearing the EDGE signature. As the name also suggest, the PSUs from this line are built with the best components, the enclosure has de-coupling material while the illuminated 135mm fan has FDB bearing for added silence.
The design is fully modular, it used heavy-duty Japanese capacitors but the efficiency is only 80PLUS Gold, peaking at over 92%.
The next interesting product announced is the successor of the highly successful P180 and P280 cases, namely the Antec P380. Right from the start we can see a more modern look with curved lines and enough space to fit the most wicked watercooled system you can ever build. If you don’t believe me, you can check the pictures and see for yourself!
We continue with the Antec ISK600M, a mATX cube case perfect for those in need of a compact but powerful system. The only thing that was miniaturized is the ODD which can be used only in notebook format, but otherwise you can fit pretty much anything. In the pictures you can see a pretty badass Haswell based system fitted inside this case: Intel Core i5 4670K, ASRock Z97M OC Formula, MSI R9 290X Gaming, 2 x 480GB Team Dark L3 SSDs in RAID 0, 8GB GEIL EVO Potenza 2666MHz memory and Antec HCP-750 Platinum.
