Computex 2014: Acer Liquid X1
Besides all the hardware components and computer peripherals, we also had the chance to see some mobile devices at Computex 2014. The one that got our attention is Acer Liquid X1, and the most interesting part about this smartphone is the chipset used in it: Mediatek MT6592. The naming might not tell you much, but let me break down the important parts: MT6592 has an Octa-core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz and a Mali-450MP4 as GPU. The system is paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
Everything else is pretty standard, X1 has an IPS 5.7″ HD display (1280×720 pixels), 13 megapixels camera, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth and of course Android 4.4.2. We don’t know any pricing details yet or when it will be available on the market but we can assume that sometime during Q3 it will become available in most countries.
